The 'D-X' ('D-Cross') concept sports car, whose unique resin body parts can be swapped
The D-X (pronounced D-Cross) offers tremendous versatility - the mini sports car can be transformed into a panel van or a hatchback by swopping its body shells, which are made of resin. With a turbo-charged, direct injection engine, the driver can enjoy the pleasure of low fuel consumption while maximising the power from the two-cylinder combustion engine.
The Pico 2-seater concept compact, designed for frequent short trips and suitable for the elderly
The compact Pico is a tiny two-seater electric vehicle meant for those who wish to make short commutes within the city. Key features like large door openings and a low, flat floor make it easier for the elderly to get in and out of the vehicle. The front-and-back, tandem two-seater design enables maneuverability in small and narrow spaces. Again, apparently with the elderly in mind, Daihatsu is also providing driving assistance with an advanced radar system.
The Daihatsu FC ShoCase is a fuel cell, small commercial vehicle adaptable to a range of uses
The FC ShoCase is a fuel cell van that contains no precious metals. Resembling a box, the concept van is lightweight and has a zero-emission engine that is designed for mobile work solutions. It comes with a unique liquid-fueled system which enables "long" driving ranges. The concept offers plenty of interior space as it comes with a flat floor, stowable steering wheel and seats and a side panel that lifts up to permit entry and exit. This maximises usage of space within the teeny FC, which measures only 3.4 metres long and 1.48 metres wide. |
