The vehicle licence plate to be displayed on an OPC/ROPC car must meet the specifications set out in diagrams (A) and (B) below.

(A) For licence plate mounted onto the bumper of the vehicle
(B) For licence plate mounted onto the boot cover of the vehicle
The background colour of the vehicle licence plate shall be red (3M colour code 610-12 or an approved equivalent) and the letterings and figures white;
The vehicle licence plate must be mounted to a metal bracket of not less than 2mm thick. The bracket must in turn be welded onto the vehicle chassis or floorboard;
The welding can be carried out by any workshop but must be inspected and approved by a LTA authorised vehicle inspection centre.
Seals shall be applied to both the front and rear vehicle licence plates by the LTA authorised vehicle inspection centre.
Inspection Of OPC/ROPC Vehicle Licence Plate
The vehicle licence plates shall be inspected and sealed by a LTA authorised vehicle inspection centre within the following time frame:
a) for new ROPC - within 7 calendar days from its date of registration; b) for normal car converting to ROPC - within 3 calendar days from the date of conversion.
The vehicle licence plates and the seals are required to be inspected by the LTA authorised vehicle inspection centre every year before its road tax can be renewed.
